Commuting from the lower 48 is very doable. Guys come in from the East Coast, Midwest, and West Coast. Most likely you would go through SEA.

Are all of the spots filled for the next hiring class or do I still have a chance? I sent in my resume via fax two days ago and via email to the Chief Pilot yesterday. I wondering if I should call the company headquarters and get in contact with someone in the hiring department. Like many low timers that right seat in the 208 is the best shot I have.

You better be patient. We've been trying for months now, got interviews scheduled, they called to reschedule one month later, etc...
It's not a matter of days

Just saw Trump wants to eliminate EAS spending in his new budget. That really could slow things down.

I saw that, too. Surprising because so many rural communities that voted heavily for Trump rely on those services. And for people in my position looking for a first job it's the last push in the direction of CFI.

Hold up, I actually just looked into this and found all the EAS routes and who flies them: https://www.transportation.gov/sites...b_1_2017_0.pdf

Am I the only one here who does not see Hageland/Ravn anywhere on this list?

RIP Grant though...

I think you're right. Who knows? If these other companies go under Hageland may have to expand to pick up the slack.

the best advice given in this forum for job seekers------> get your CFI. I just have to admit it. Plus you make twice as much than any caravan/pc12 SIC out there

Hageland's life blood is bypass mail.

Given the s$$t trump is going after, doubt they will be around long once he catches wind of that program.

Yeah, deep down in their heart I'm sure every low time pilot knows this, myself included. I'm seeing what I can do to swing a CFI while I wait for these companies to get back to me. The worst thing would be to stop flying and training and stall out for six months trying to make something work.
