i got the call to interview this friday. it doesnt sound like a bad deal if you like being on the road 17 consecutive days, then getting 13 off. but if you hate that lifestyle then thats torture. i dont know much about it but a lot of guys in my unit said STAY AWAY- their airplanes are extremely old (purchased from JAL and china) and not as well maintained, you might spend your crew rest time deadheading on an airplane. you fly on average 50 hours a month. they dont have CASS yet, and they dont have domiciles. some of the older guys in my unit also pointed out that kalitta had a LOT of scabs before they were unionized, so this could be a black mark on your resume if you get some old school guys at a future interview, although UPS seems to like kalitta guys.
