I’m in the PDP but am upgrading to captain on the ERJ-145 at my current airline. So that’s one less person to worry about. Guess I’ll be paying that $12,000 stipend back😬

Any update on hiring? I see their PDP is on their website. I am in a unique situation. I am a transitioning military pilot that is not current but I have about 1000 TT and around 200 PIC in the P8A (737). Should I look at the "experienced FO" or at the PDP program? Really trying to fly in ANC and Alaska legacy is the end goal. Thoughts?

A buddy of mine told me that Horizon has raised its captain upgrade time to 1200 hours of 121? Has anyone heard about this? It seems like they were desprate for captains all last year and this year so far.

Basically they are trying to throttle upgrades, Just like they doubled their FO hiring in 2024 from what they had planned/forcasted and have been offer TOWP for Oct/Nov/Dec because they over hired.
Just how it is here. And when the next hiring wave starts next year they are going to be caught with their pants down....

Sorry about that but it's the right thing to do, get some PIC time and you'll be in better shape when the next wave starts.
