Oh they would love to see you re-apply. I now a couple people that tried 3 times, but this was like 2 years ago. You should try again. The sim is what kills most people so if you are instructing at UND go in the sims at night. Do all the approaches at 140. Go to fltplan.com and look up approaches in ID, WA, MT..KOTH was what i used all the time when i was preparing for the interview. If you can do that missed without problem you will make all the others look easy. Do the full arc and the missed.

here you go http://204.108.4.16/d-tpp/0708/00929VD4.PDF

Good luck..

Yea the sim pretty much killed me, I was no way used to that "Hyper Seminole" Plus the short flight from RBG to OTH and the fact my ifr scan started to fall apart pretty much was my downfall. Have to say even flying the cirrus SR22 that climb sure surprised me. But still was fun and hope for a second chance at it.

Utilize the free sim. Before my interview i was in the 2 to 3 times per day for that summer. Even if you are not an employee, you can use it for free as an Alum. Go see Rudolph..

FL410-
When did you do your internship? Beneficial yes... Fun... ehhh... The only time I would use the word fun here is when got to taxi the 200 to the terminal (with a captain) or when I got off early yesterday and played 18... Jumpseat privileges got revoked a long time ago (9-11). Alaska just reinstated theirs but Horizon is a little behind. I sit in an office with no windows all day and If I’m lucky I get to sit in on some groundschool and learn some systems... but it will all be worth it soon.

Sorry for the confusion. UND's website is correct. Just talked to the director of training and the Basic Indoc class date is Oct 8th for 6 new hires for the RJ.

Just a fun fact, Although more UND people get hired at horizon through their direct hire program, CWU has an almost perfect percentage rate of those that apply through the direct hire to get hired... So, to all you future aspiring pilots out there in the Pacific Northwest, if you want to fly for Horizon, stay in Washington and go to Central and do the Internship cause it is well worth it!

Your welcome, glad I could help.

So, are they going to UND or not? I heard that it was up in the air.

I've heard October, November, and December classes. A new "training bubble" is needed for the Q400 deliveries beginning next year.
