Agreed. Pass travel in the winter borders on suicide. re: pdx being senior... good luck getting in. you'll be FAT based the rest of your career if you're on the emb. People have transitioned from FO jet to FO emb just to get pdx.

That looks like a sweeter ride than a CRJ700. Not bad.

Horizon cancels flights too.

So you condone this kind of travel??? You should probably change your screen name to Buslow!!

All I am saying is that people in outlying towns have been looking for an alternative and now they have one. Jump on a bus and get there for less.

If they were smart they would add a few of those to the lineup. :)

...no, that would be expansion, something that is not in the Air Group's vocabulary...

Your best bet to get back flying in PNW is Ameriflight. Even now they're not hiring. Its going to be a long wait. :(

Shoot your resume over again and give a phone call. PM me if ya need more info. They're still accepting and reviewing resumes at AMF.

If $69 fares were commonly the case then why are the buss services expanding so rapidly?

Why you asking me this question? You said that the price of Horizon is couple hundred more and i just picked a random date to look up the ticket and found the 6:00am flight to be $59. This is just to show you that it's not hundreds more. If you think the bus service is better, take the bus.... Seems to me you're trying to convince everyone on here how much better the bus service is.

My point

My point is that the bus is becoming a strong alternative. It is a competitor that Horizon will have a difficult time defending against especially if they are several hundred dollars more.

When I went into the computer system I saw the 6:00AM $59 fare however it was only for one way and if did not include taxes or bag fees.

A regular price for a full service ticket is $118 each way plus taxes, fees and baggage would come in at around $257 to $300. A lot more than the bus.

Airlines will always favor over the bus. Yeah, in the tough economic times some people do not have $200 to fly so they spend 2-3 hours driving through the windy snoqualmie pass with the chance of long traffic delays or even pass closures. I would rather get on a Q400, be given a drink of my choice, and watch as the gorgeous cascades pass below me. Not to mention seeing Mount Rainier. I sure do miss the North West and the west coast...:( now you got me depressed! ;) Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
