I was there on the 30th as well. They said there were about 25 people there that day so maybe 50 between the two? Congrats on phase 2!

Glad to hear that phase 2 is moving at a faster pace. I know we lost lots of good pilots because of the 2-6mo th year long waits.

Congrats newbs!

Default 3/15 Interviews

From what I was told by the person managing everything on the 30th, there were no interviews on the 29th. They initially scheduled interviews on the 29th thinking it was a Wednesday (he said they always do interviews on Wednesdays) but moved it to the 30th when they realized it was a Tuesday. Unless anyone knows of someone that actually interviewed on the 29th, which I think someone said they did a few posts back... I could've been misinformed though.

Just sent in my GIS paperwork. Hope they don't find out about that book I never returned to the library when I was 11 :-) Let the waiting begin.

Entry into Phase II was certainly quick but the completion of Phase II seems to still be taking 2-6 months for the majority of folks. Unfortunately as well, I can speak candidly that a lot of folks are going elsewhere because of the lengthy wait times. That said, those folks very well may not have wanted JBU from the very beginning but if the process was a quick as some of the other competitors they probably would have came on board and stuck around.

Probably wouldn't stick around for long unless we get a solid CBA in the very near term. Between our industry-lagging pay, work rules, retirement and career progression, and the ridiculously long recruitment process here, it's really hard to make the case for people to come here and stick around.

Anyone from 3/15 have any progress in Phase 2?

I called today and GIS has not received anything back from a single agency. I figured in 3 weeks there would at least be something back. Certainly not complaining, I know the Jan/Feb folks are waiting as well. I just thought it odd that there isn't any movement.

3/15 - AM Interview
3/16 - Phase 2
4/5 - No progress

Same interview/Phase 2 dates as you. I called Monday and the lady said that all they could tell me was that my package was still "in progress." I took that to mean that they have nothing other than what I sent them. That said, it doesn't seem that most people have finished in under 6 weeks if any of this year's previous interview groups are a reliable indication,

Default 3/15 Interview

For those that interviewed last month in Orlando, curious to hear what the interview is like. For someone who applied last window and most recently this April window, I want to be as prepared as possible if I get a call.

What do they ask you to bring? Do they want a tabbed logbook with certain dates? Signed letters of rec?

The interview is primarily HR with a computer-based cognitive section that doesn't seem to count for much. When you get the invite to interview they'll email you a 25-page packet detailing specifics as far as what to bring and what to expect, and you'll have plenty of time to get everything together. I applied in January and didn't interview until mid-March.

As far as logbooks, as long as they're organized and legible you'll be fine. The better they look the more professional you appear, just like everything else. I had a mix of military, civilian, and 121 logbooks without tabs and they worked just fine. Make sure your hours match what you present on your currrent resume and you should be good.

And yes, rec letters need to be signed. Best of luck.
