Across the pond?.....

Goes both ways. There's the 5% also that no matter what happens can't help themselves but to complain. It's like their full time job, remind every agent, FA, pilot how bad they have it. I'd rather fly with a juicer than some miserable SOB looking for other miserable SOBs.

It was AA *womp womp*
In its first quarter earnings release this morning, AA confirmed that it "entered into an arrangement with Scandinavian Airlines to obtain two slot pairs at London’s Heathrow Airport, strengthening American’s presence at a key international gateway for American and joint business partner British Airways." AA President Robert Isom was quoted as stating that AA "moved quickly on the opportunity to add two new slot pairs at Heathrow, which we will use to improve service to and from one of the world's most important business markets."

Bwah hah hah! B6 managment must read these forums and laugh. We are NOT getting widebodies. We are slowing our growth with an eye on stopping it completely. If you arent a captain you should leave. Seriously.

I wanted to be here for several reasons and was willing to wait for a good CBA. However, getting stuck in the right seat because growth stops is a deal breaker for me. If this is the direction JB management is going to go I'll have to shop for a new airline to retire at. Very disappointing!

Unless a new order is hatched. Growth was always on a clock. 2022 was it. Now it's 2024. 108 more planes "scheduled" for delivery by the end of 2024 is the current plan.

At 15 pilots per plane that puts us close to 5000 pilots by 2024. But that is assuming a lot. Airframe returns, more deferrals, getting rid of the 190, many many factors in play. But that's also assuming we don't place any orders until 2024 which I don't think will be the case either.

Two ways this fleet review could go. One way is we place an order for a 190 replacement and an order for widebodies. The other is we transition to an all 320/321 fleet and concentrate on the domestic market. It's anyone's guess at this point.

There was the low information voter, now the low information pilot?

I think any slow in growth limits a B6 career due to the low retirement numbers. Growth is the only advancement we have. Thats the sentiment I picked up on anyway- not low informational pilot, just disappointed pilot.
