Option 3, order a 190 replacement and retire some of the oldest A320s. Done.

Don't fret dears...there will be more orders...and more deferments...and more orders. If a few planes getting shifted is a major disappointment for you, you should have entered the postal service for a steady career.

Also they are faced with a choice. Growth hasnt been rewarded lately. Also it is unlikely they will be able to staff the airline at its current size in a few years. Stop buying airplanes, take the staffing hit and increase margins and try to ride it out.
The other option is they could try to grow quickly enough to match the big 3 in seniority growth and add widebodies.
Which do you think is more likely?
Something else to keep in mind is the percentage of year 1-10 guys at the big 3 vs all the year 12 guys at B6 in the next decade. They may have a payroll advantage on us. Its gonna be a bumpy ride.

Well, Robin told our new hire class that wall street wanted us to stop growing, so there is that.

There's an article with him supporting BBD in their fight with Boeing citing the great product and comfort/competitive advantage the C series provides. Whether he's using it as leverage with embraer (we need the CS to remain not tariffed for the E2s to be offered as competitively as embraer will offer them if the CSs remain competitive). So either way, he needs to support BBD in this fight. Whether or not we will get them, or when we will announce or fleet plan, is anyone's guess. I hope we do. BBD>Emb.

If we merge it'll be with spirit, frontier, or Alaska... if we get bought it'll be by SWA united or delta.
Sorry sarcasm not directed d at you. I just laugh when they say stuff like that.

Would love to see the CSeries in JB colors. Here's a good picture of the first CS300 for Korean:
