It will be a “market rate contract”, there are no publicly proposed pay rates to look for. FO first year pay isn’t low at DL, AA, or UA so why should we accept that it will be low here. FUPM

3 years here. Live local bid Bus FO Reserve by choice. Weekends and holidays off. Not terrible.

I've been here 9 months. Our reserve rules are garbage.

This week I'm on a 3 day block of reserves.
Day 1 - 8am Start
Day 2 - 6am Start
Day 3 (tomorrow) - I've already been pre-assigned a trip with a 330 start that gets done at 11pm.

Thanks JetBlue for starting me early then dumping a non-commutable trip on me 30+ hours before it shows bc you didn't want to leave it in open time for the FLICA wh0res that live in base. I didn't want to get home on my last day. And I didn't want to get home the last 3 tours I've had either.

FUPM doesn't even get close.

I will not be recommending anyone to this dumpster fire of an airline. Stay at your regional.

So it’s an airline's responsibility to ensure that you can commute? This must be your first airline job.

I think his point is that our reserve system is so broken you can’t count on anything making sense or planning ahead. Not knowing a call out time until the day prior is a really dumb way to run reserve.

I will say recommending someone stay at a regional is a bit dramatic though.

No it not the airlines responsibility...

However this may have been an FSM violation of the trip wasn’t put into open time properly.

The original intent of the dro and the way rsv worked here was to start late and end early as much of the company commutes. Obviously when this fails it’s a large reduction in QOL.

SInce this isn’t your first airline you can obviously see his frustration... or you simply don’t care in which case you could take your post elsewhere.

Congratulations! You’ve proved to be useless today.

RSV rules are a joke and I'm no math wizard ( again ), but 0330 start - finishing at 2300 is more than a 16 hours duty day, huh?
