No, THIS is how Jetblue innovates:

No like I said to you on BP I am just agreeing with the fact that they tend to announce stuff on that day and it’s not always good or does it help us. It’s investor day so it will be all about maximizing profit. Also using Wobin and Gigs are not exactly terms of endearment but you knew that.

I stopped reading at "Grado headphones are good but they are meant to be used in your house. Whoever at Jet Blue decided this is a complete moron."

That’s pretty much everyone who makes decisions at this PR company

Love the comment from the person that calls Mint flyers “priveledged A-holes.” Probably works in AO

Really that is what you are worried about? That is what makes the ELT dumb? Good god I could find all kinds of other things. Yeah some guy has a problem with his headphones in MINT oh my the horror how will we live. If sound is that important to you carry your own headphones. Also like it or not MINT is one thing jetblue did right even though many on Wall St and on here thought it would be a disaster it is far far from it. But yeah gosh if they only got those headphones right.

LOL. We are being run by 25 year old MBAs who lack any airline experience or any cohesive vision.

This was just a funny article that sums up how we are run. Multiply this article by almost every major decision they make, and you get a good picture of life at Jetblue.

The headphones represent such an easy problem set with horrible decisions and execution. It’s not about the headphones (well the article is, but not the point here).

Fwiw, when I commuted home on an AA 321 transcon in first (instead of paying $75 to ride in our mint), each seat had Bose QC25s with a special adapter for the plane (probably to reduce theft). They also give those out in biz class, which is our competition. I don’t know that people will book a biz class ticket on one airline or another based on headphones, but getting negative press on our flagship product doesn’t help, when for a de minimis investment we could avoid that altogether.
