Yeah, I was referring to initial bids. That said, awesome!

Base and equipment?

It would help tremendously if people could give this info when mentioning schedule flexibility.

As someone who is all about QOL instead of pay, and lives halfway between JFK and BOS....how realistic is it to bid LCR with a do not fly preference and only fly 200-300 block a year on the 190 if one stays senior for a long time (5+ yrs, possibly even longer)?

Or would I need to bid SC to bury myself deep enough to hardly be used?

You know at JB you can do SCR/LCR blocks up to 18 in a row, allowing you to essentially do month-on/month-off, 14/14, etc. right?

If I wanted to consistently live abroad or visit people overseas, I can easily make that work with JB’s reserve system anytime I choose, without having to drop my entire schedule as I would at Spirit (from what I can gather—I have no idea what their work rules are). A Euro or Latam commute is pretty easy to do from JFK/BOS or FLL, respectively, and you could build your sched that way fairly soon—esp on the junior aircraft.

Something to consider if you’re going overseas a lot.

B6 3Yr A220/CA = 5/1/2020 - $230.66

NK 12Yr A320/CA = $242
B6 12Yr A220/CA = 5/1/2020 - $258.46

Just not quite getting the pay comparison, even if you include E-190/CA for a few years at the 3Yr point, we’re talking $3.25 an hour B6 3Yr E-190 vs NK 3Yr A320, but we’re talking $27 an hour difference at the 12Yr mark (B6 320 vs NK 320) or $16 an hour (B6 220 vs NK 320).

What am I missing? Are my NK numbers wrong, that’s what is posted on APC.
You know, I hadn't looked at spirit's A320 rates in a long time. I assumed they were somewhere in the hunt, I was wrong... Very wrong.

I still believe junior captain seniority movement favors Spirit, but that pay is not good.

Still not quite as good as B6, but 12 year CA @ NK, DOS +4, is $260/hr.

I understand. But ~4 years from now JB could have a new much better contract/payrate. But maybe not.

I’ll bet BOS 190 FOs on LCR fly about 300hrs/yr. SCR guys probably closer to 200hrs. I’m sure others will chime in with first hand data.

Seniority doesn’t matter much on LCR. It goes by credit hours as far as assignments go. And there isn’t a way to indicate you want to fly vs not fly when on LCR. The pass preference on SCR is pretty useless too so not really a way to do it there either.
