Default FLL to JFK commute

How is it? Do most here do it on JB, or OAL? IF OAL, what are the options?

In my experience over the past 2 years, it’s been a fairly easy commute and 99% of the time has been on B6. You have the option of going to LGA from FLL & EWR in a pinch(I’ve never done it going to work) Almost all Airbus so that gives you 2 JS’s right there if you ever need it and you have the option of the cabin JS if no other Flight Attendants are listed and the flight is full. Very doable IMHO. As for OAL, Delta does JFK & LGA from FLL with a mix of everything equipment wise and Spirit does LGA also from FLL with some of their Airbus only having 1 JS.

Hope that helps, commuting however is for the birds.

Thank you Speedbird, I appreciate the info.

Lots of views, only 1 reply. I would have thought this was a more common commute. Guess not.

The commute gives you lots of time to think about the $hitty pay here.

Unfortunately to save on arguments a good chunk have given up posting here. Maybe when that cba happens we can get back to a better forum but right now there is no joy in Mudville. Pretty typical for social media these days.

But it should be easy it’s on jetblue lots of options going up there and not an overly long flight. If needed you could stop in Jax or DCA or BOS to get there as a back up.

Good luck and welcome.

It's a pretty easy commute. Lots of flights a day on us. Holding FLL takes 16-17 months right now. I've never been left behind but I'm riding up front 50% of the time. Also, factor in at least 2 hours delayed or some sort of clusterchuck on the regular. Other than that commuting just sucks and the 5-7 hours out of your day for this airline isn't worth it. Oh and when you've finished your redeye from the west coast, waited on a gate for 30 mins, missed your first commute, waited a few hours for the next delayed flight, fly 3 hours home to FLL, you get to help clean the planes!

Agreed- in 2020 when B6 finally needs to attract and retain pilots, and grudgingly presents a real proposal, the forum will be more informational.
