Just facts. And the fact is that the only way to defend against threats like NAI is to donate to the ALPA PAC.

I wear my PAC lanyard or pin every day at work, do you?

I still need to see more details beyond a few vague Reuters articles. This makes very little sense considering the recent A321LR order. I realize getting access to preferred London airports has been challenging, but this is surprising if true. Again - I’d like to see more details.

On a side note, I heard a rumor that JB was exploring the option of using an A220-300 on flights into London City (LCY). I thought the A220-300 was too big for the smallish LCY ramp? Would be interesting if true.

This will obviously get the attention of the transatlantic legacy operations. Anyone else see this as further positioning JB to be merged?

Now, I understand that rage is the thing these days and we're living in a post truth world, and further that it's reasonable to be frustrated by NAI, but emotion doesn't replace facts. Norwegian pilots in Europe are union pilots.

Pretty good chance they will be around. They have been bleeding money. But they are now getting some major compensation from Rolls Royce due to the engine issues, and have instituted a major restructuring this year that is apparently yielding the desired results. The biggest thing is the bond holders have agreed to defer the bond payments for two years. There was a pretty good chance if the bond payments were not extended that they could have been gone sometime this fall. But the financial results of the re-structuring plan were enough to convince the bond holders to extend for two years. The ultimate result is that Norwegian is pretty secure for at least two more years.

Edit- It should also be noted that on some of the Danish professional pilot social media groups, it is being reported that Norwegian has been pursing this for quite some time, but JetBlue was holding off until they saw some more positive financial information. So if those sources are to be believed, and I have no real information as to the credibility of the claims, JetBlue may have seen information they have liked that made them feel more secure in pursuing this deal.

It’s hilarious how from one week to the next you have people posting “Deny NAI” on their Facebook and then the following defending the code share. Facts:
-NAI circumvented labor law to save on benefits.
-Pilots from different bases have been whipsawed against each other to the point where a 787 captain is making around 12k/month or less.
-flight attendants are recruited from 3rd world countries and are paid at third world rates while working with Europeans making European wages.

This company, along with others, have made contracts in Europe go from far exceeding wages in the United States, to barely rivaling wages in Asia and in comparison to China, fall outrageously short. Companies in Europe are downsizing and closing left and right due to high taxes and the unfair competition due to unethical labor practices. Now, we are code sharing with this organization.

Leadership brief in recurrent this week said we have no plans to pursue ETOPS for the 220 fleet at this point. FWIW

Why aren’t JB pilots doing this international flying? I thought there was scope protection for this? Or because they called it a “code share” its allowed?

Exactly. This is a way to gain leverage, and simultaneously introduce more passengers in the EU to JetBlue before we even fly there.
The two carriers are almost nothing alike, but this actually might not be a stupid move, especially as slots in LHR are so hard to come by.
