Default FLL live in base Vs UPS commuting

Hi everyone , can you give me any info about QoL for new hire staying in South Florida 45-60 mins around base(how long till you can hold FLL , upgrade time and reserve ). Might also have a chance for UPS so I am targeting both of them at the moment.

Do you have an idea how long it would take for you to hold the MIA base at UPS? Seems like that would allow for more of an apples to apples comparison.

If you live in MIA, go to UPS.

I think Hella has worked at both companies, I'd take his advice.

MIA at the bottom is VERY JUNIOR, very senior at the top. New hire who doesn’t get it out of training will get it in the next system bid for sure (usually Dec and Jun). As long as you get ANY 75/76 domicile, can switch base at will.

Got the process moving with JetBlue and still waiting for UPS (it could be lengthy process though up to 2+ years) . Plan is to live in south Florida but not sure if pushing for UPS and commute is better than stay in JetBlue and upgrade faster etc etc .

FLL CA will probably take a pretty good amount of time to hold at jetblue. I’d guess a decade minimum for someone coming in today.

Upgrade faster at JB? I believe the most recent UPS bid had CA go to guys with like 4 yrs seniority...
