I don’t have my iPad with me. Are the hour requirements projected or today? Seems like people should have enough by some of the later effective dates.

It just says prior to the system award being published they have to verify the requirements.

That’s interesting and a bit surprising. Are you sure they are for new hires? I wonder how Jr. A220CA will go?

There are talks in the school house that 220 CA went in the 2800s.

I'm sure. In fact, I'm surprised it didn't go junior to that... The most Jr. JFK bus guy is 3000+ Number (sort of a fluke with the covid displacement bid)..... The JFK 320SQ was already in the low 2000's and I expect that to go REALLY junior (more junior that JFK 320 captain-- non-SQ). Will be interesting to see what it looks like on the 6th.

If you think about the 3000 guys though, those guys got the award 2 years ago when the total target pilots by the end of that bid was significantly less than the target pilots by the end of this bid. Plus more higher paying 321/220s on property than back then. Plus some retirements/deaths/attrition on top of that. So, I’d expect, absent a big change in bidding behavior, this bid goes a bit more junior than the bid 2 years ago (and the supplementals between now and then).

Hopefully the movement this bid will create sticks. Robin’s update today on the next 3-6 months for Jetblue and the rest of the industry wasn’t exactly bright. Not to throw cold water on the discussion.

Agree completely.

Excited to see where the results land.

Cold water is a good thing. It's nice to temper optimism with reality sometimes. That said, there is a WHOLE lot of unknown --Covid boosters, next covid variant, work from home (or not), Europe opening (or not) etc etc etc.

can you add some insight on to what Robin said. Didn’t have the chance to listen to it. Doesn’t need to be this thread as I don’t want to hijack it. But interested to hear what he had to say

Delta variant causing a loss in future bookings. Some expected with the Summer almost over but many businesses are pushing back their return to travel so that’s having an impact in the Fall. Might see some planes get parked again if needed. They see it as a 3-6 month issue as of now….no change to 2022 hiring across all work groups at this time.
