Not only do the pairings suck more than ever, the company refuses to use the ALPA set, we also have incompetent schedulers who appear to enjoy misinterpreting their own rules. So tired of this crap. I don't even try to swap/trade that often but it always gets denied. Also incredibly frustrating that there's premium open time sitting there and I can't touch it because I have a scheduled trip yet some senior guy with weekends off can pick it up without issue. I also went backwards in seniority this month in base as an FO. If I didn't feel like we're on the verge of a recession I'd be trying to jump ship. Friends at DL/UA are only moving onward and upwards quickly, while I'm still getting BS weekend redeyes and losing seniority. |

Right now its like 3-4 years in JFK, 5-7 in BOS and FLL, and infinity in MCO. If we merge with Spirit it will slow upgrades to a halt, so those times are very optimistic for new hires.
In my first year at Spirit and am in my first year. The seniority list integration (assuming the merger goes through) makes me really nervous about long upgrade times. |

Just saw a sign on the back of a Kwik Trip truck (the gas station). Says "Join our team". Says "40% profit sharing"...
Even gas station attendants get profit sharing... And every major airline pilot in our peer set. But not Blue pilots. |
