CS: Denied

I call, “You cannot swap four day trips for anything other than four or five day trips.”
“Yes, you can, as long there is a reserve coverage for LCR4, and in this case it supports it.”
CS, “No, you can’t, it will be denied every time.”

Good luck. Not only do the pairings suck more than ever, the company refuses to use the ALPA set, we also have incompetent schedulers who appear to enjoy misinterpreting their own rules.

So tired of this crap. I don't even try to swap/trade that often but it always gets denied. Also incredibly frustrating that there's premium open time sitting there and I can't touch it because I have a scheduled trip yet some senior guy with weekends off can pick it up without issue.

I also went backwards in seniority this month in base as an FO. If I didn't feel like we're on the verge of a recession I'd be trying to jump ship. Friends at DL/UA are only moving onward and upwards quickly, while I'm still getting BS weekend redeyes and losing seniority.

Just doing a check to see how accurate this still is?

In my first year at Spirit and am in my first year. The seniority list integration (assuming the merger goes through) makes me really nervous about long upgrade times.

Check back in a month. We currently have a vacancy bid open that is closing the JFK 190 base and opening JFK 220 base. We have another bid opening Aug 1 with annual vacancies and will likely cause a lot of movement too. By mid August we should have a better picture what things will look like for 2024 at least

Well, it's gonna be Longer than it currently is at Spirit that's for D__mn sure. Im not so certain it will get to Southwest levels. You may already know this but if in case you don't keep in mind that it will vary with domiciles. The most junior domeciles with shortest upgrades (just like at any other airline) are the ones with the highest costs of living.

Do you aaaaa Heart NY?

Probably a dumb question. Do crews usually overnight at the Latin America and Caribbean destinations or are they turn flights only?

Usually overnight, but there are some turns here and there.

Just saw a sign on the back of a Kwik Trip truck (the gas station). Says "Join our team". Says "40% profit sharing"...

Even gas station attendants get profit sharing... And every major airline pilot in our peer set. But not Blue pilots.
