Since the payout is subject to dues, then how much is 1.9% of $30 million?

Doesn’t matter, they’ll take a big chunk, say it’s for the lawyers. Out of the rest they’ll distribute us a pitiful check….and then hit you up for dues, but before your taxes are collected out of it.

Ask how I know. I’ve been down this road before, got the T shirt.

Ok, but it's not like the MEC keeps the 1.9% for themselves. There is a lot to be critical about, but acting like the MEC is selling the LOA to get a big chunk of $30 million for their personal use is disingenuous.

I agree with you, but I do have to wonder why the MEC continues to sell these LOAs. Just provide the facts and let the group vote. Quit the sell jobs and scare tactics.

He has to sell it. This is his legacy. It all started with loa 12. That’s his baby, and it’s the reason we are where we are.

If 17 is voted down he’s done and then 12 gets looked at for the failure it was. If 17 gets voted in he gets to point back to 12 and say he was a genius.

ALPA national never wants to fight and they will always try and get the pilot groups to take the easiest way out(for them).
