It’s been very quiet from HQ’s. I bet a press release will pop out after market close and the vote will cancel.

Agree though, it's been quiet and was also thinking today is probably the day.

There still needs to be a shareholder vote, at some point. I'm not clear on if the 21 days notice is for a vote, or for a specific agenda item. Could they announce a new merger agreement and still have the vote on the 30th since notice was given of a shareholder vote? Or do they need to reset the 21 day clock and reschedule a new vote.

Yup. I think the accelerated retirements are happening. Why cancel December effective dates if there are January effective dates in the annual bid they could just bid out and not backfill to achieve the same results one month later. Especially since the 190 continues to seem short staffed. I heard 178jb won’t fly pax again and more will follow to an early retirement. Just rumors. Except for the bid award cancelation. That’s a fact.

Anything a 190 can do it’s likely a 319 can do. And with the aircraft inbound, all Airbus is going to be the name of the game. NK acquisition will just speed that up. Assuming a JCBA that will deal with attrition.

Regardless of the merger, they wanted them gone. 220 deliveries were accelerated by a few. I think they would be gone on an accelerated timeline with or with out the merger. Training costs are a nightmare. Maintenance costs are a nightmare. Fuel costs are a nightmare. They just aren’t viable anymore. They’ll likely all be gone before any integration actually happens. My guess is the 319s become the shuttle aircraft for the short stuff the 190 does (NYC-BOS-DCA, plus all the BUF/SYR/ROC/PWM type stuff). Not sure how they will handle MVY/ACK. 319NEO orders get switched to 321NEO, maybe more 220s.

They have had 20+ years to purchase a 319 and never chose to do so. They obviously like the 321s/320s/220s.......the 190 is on it's way out and I bet the 319 will be axed if and when it can be. The 220 is better all around.
