I think I am confused I thought he was talking about Spirit not using JB for a contract comparison back in '16

Other way around, I believe 8JRM is an NK fellow pilot.

Because their FIRST contract is at least as good as ours?

Edit, I know I am...

lmao, this author should pivot away from the keyboard.

JetBlue should consider pivoting away from the airline business if they can’t earn a good rate of return in the airline business. Surely they’d even do better for shareholders by giving the cash used in the Spirit deal to Jack Bogle.

I was referring to the jetblue guys giving spirit MEC and pilot group to much credit. Our cba that 70% voted for was so bad that b6 didn’t even use NK for comparison.

Maybe not, SAVE does appear to have a better track record on higher margins. A bigger Spirit looks like it would be more profitable than a larger jetBlue.

can spirit double in size and maintain margins? I’d bet no. If an airline stands still and doesn’t grow then CASM increases rapidly. At some point the ULCC model is forced to evolve into a higher cost one.
