CJO with NK with a class date in about a month. Waiting to hear from B6, with a possible CJO, If successful, any advice on which one I should take? TIA

In a similar situation, except I'll be commuting from PHX (might move to Denver in the next 1-2 years). Also looking for advice. TIA

Lots of B6 PHX commuters. Split between LAX, JFK, BOS. I’d go B6 LAX. Or just go to AA or SWA.

Take first available. The clock has started. Seniority of those hired after the date of merger will be DOH.

First class date. Then apply to someone whose got a PHX or DEN base so you don’t have to commute long term.

Based on what metric? A 17+ year B6 CA, former chief pilot and former management guy, just left B6 for UA. I’m sure things were just peachy for him to give up that kind of seniority and longevity.

who was that?

I concur. If PHX/DEN is where you’re sure you want to be, then neither B6 nor NK are where you should be trying to make a career. Take the first class date then go to United or SWA, or just stay where you are and do same.

When does (or did) the snapshot get taken on seniority? Did it start when the NK BOD recommended the deal? Or when the stockholders actually take a vote?

The standard is when a public announcement between the two companies has been made (July 28th). But the date needs to be agreed upon by the two merger committees when they create the Transition & Process Agreement. It could wind up being some other day if they wanted. We’ll have to see.

I want whatever date Symbian's spreadsheet says is worse for him, just for being such a pompous baby, which are two words I never thought could fit together.
