The fact that the Union was able to pivot and focus on a contract extension (pay rates) in the short term was a huge step in the right direction. We also have the JCBA looming, which gives us even more leverage. We’re moving in the right direction at least.

For a first contract the JBCBA is decent. Lots to improve at both companies. We have our work cut out for us.
Instead, the MEC talked tough for a year and when the decision was potentially days away, they balked and recommended the membership vote to give the company the WIN in exchange for compensation. When the pilot group ratified the LOA, JetBlue knew where we stood going forward. |
