So the bigger issue is this was a topic on BP a long time ago, and guys knew and posted about him ad nauseam while it was supposedly being rectified. Now for some reason he’s a topic of discussion airline wide, personally I think there was a loophole found that got lawyers involved. Much like our famous MCO CA who was reinstated, not sure how JetBlue would want this potential disaster on their hands. Where’s ALPA/HR????

Now I know why my JB crashpad roomates were all riled up..

And to think I had issues getting hired because my ex accused me of something when we were getting divorced and I couldn't prove no conviction because it never went to court. (JB interviewed me, said yes, failed their background check allegedly.. Yet three other LCC/Legacys had no problem offering me a job)

not unique at jetblue I suppose.
Delta airlines and American Airlines will hire Felons, if it is a class two felony, This class of felonies is termed interim disqualifying criminal offenses. These are ones for which felons were convicted within seven years of the date of the application, or if the applicant was released from prison after conviction within five years of the date of the application.

Crimes in this category include:

Illegal possession, use, sale, purchase, or other dealing with a firearm
Extortion
Dishonesty
Fraud
Money laundering
Bribery
Smuggling
Distribution or possession of a controlled substance
Kidnapping
Aggravated assault
Robbery

why do we even have background checks if they are hiring guys like this? What if every cpt refuses to fly with him? I know I’ll refuse if ever get assigned with him.

KCM is not going to like what he packs.

They said a search of his vehicle turned up several knives, handcuffs, a spool of parachute cord, a shovel, gloves, glass cutters, keys to Lister's home, pepper spray and a mask.

Default Felons at jetblue

So he was convicted of a violent felony, released from prison in 2014 and yet the FAA issued him an ATP in 2016 despite 61.153c?
