The bien-pensant elites will do what they do, but I think of your average Dutch as rational adults, and it would be weird to go back to the Middle Ages and self-flagellate just because Greta cried.
Allons enfants de la Patrie
Le jour de gloire est arrivé!
Contre nous de la tyrannie
L’étendard sanglant est levé
L’étendard sanglant est levé
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes
Mugir ces féroces soldats?
Ils viennent jusque dans vos bras
Égorger nos fils, nos compagnes!

Aux armes, citoyens
Formez vos bataillons
Marchons, marchons!
Qu’un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!

Haul those guillotines out of the museums and the bien-pensant will only think about getting out of Dodge…😂

These people don’t want competition (especially lower cost competition ). They’d love fares to triple. They in fact want to force reductions to current flying which by default will “artificially” raise prices in itself by constraining capacity among existing carriers.

No, they really aren't in my opinion. Would listen to your argument though.

Huh? Delta/KLM would have lost thousands of WB slots a year.

There's a lot more to it than that.
