It would be awesome if we had a Secretary of Transportation on the case or something.

They don’t want your family to travel. NY and Wash has gotten the bad rap for some years now. Maybe it’s that they are at capacity training and stuffing them into those areas. Robbing Peter to pay Paul?

One of them told us they're not cross trained to work any other sector within ZJX. So if the two guys in Sector D (for example) call out...D is getting shut down and everything else needs to flow through A-C.

Yep! Forget about whether my airline will be able to get enough Max7/8s. My number one worry going forward is that controllers are going to start walking off the job enmasse if things don't start turning around soon for them!

Controllers have been short since the early 2000's. Congress won't fully fund it so the FAA whips the numbers to meet the budget. Great recession and covid masked the shortage a bit but every congress since 2003ish is at fault. The FAA mearly makes the numbers work the best they can.

Looks like they just gained all credibility. Cutting routes, giving orders to UA while they’re trying to dominate, doesn’t seem like a good move. If we are already being squeezed out of a market why help a competitor grow?

What choices do they have? They’ve done nothing but run this place into the dirt the past few years. Giving away market share to Delta and also helping United acquire planes is the caring value hard at work!

Yet again with the news of SWA retaining integration lawyers and looking at some of these routes that were cut, seems like they’re minimizing overlap.

It’s definitely possible and I’m really hoping that’s the reason. Would they alter the business for something that may or may not happen?

Did JB give orders to UA? I missed that if so.
