Are we really arguing that driving to JetBlue is worse than commuting to a regional? This is nuts.

At any rate, the OP, you're at a regional, I'd suggest you get out asap. JetBlue may just be a stop on the way to a legacy, but being Boston based, JB actually would be beneficial in that regard. Yea things aren't great here atm; morale is down. With that said, new management has turned this place around in 10 months, and that's with all the parked airframes. A full fleet will put them back in the black. JB has a market they do well in. Job is easy. Pilot group is great. Currently in Section 6 negotiations...will take a few years at least. To my understanding, all hiring has slowed...even regionals. The past 2 years where legacies were hiring anybody that could fog a mirror is over. I don't think we'll ever see anything like that again. If you can snag a legacy job, do it. If not, being Boston based at JetBlue is a solid. One other thing to mention is there is decent chance that JetBlue ends up being acquired or merged at some point. If they stay as a stand alone, they'll be fine with the market they have. Just not a lot of movement. Last thing, this industry changes so much in a few short years, nobody knows what the landscape will look like in 2-5 years. You can not predict this industry. Hope this helps. Good luck |
JetBlue > Regional
You guys are taking crazy pills. |

Yea pretty wild stuff. Of all the things I've heard pilots complain about, new FO's getting treated poorly is not one of them. You have to actively work to get on anybody's radar here. It's gotta be one of the most chill places to work in the industry.

As somebody who spent time at both SKW and B6 before moving on you will 100% not be happy at JetBlue. B6 treats new FO's worse than most regionals. The fact you will have 0 movement seniority wise should convince you to go elsewhere. Good luck.
show us on the doll where JetBlue hurt you |
