Default Outside looking in

B6 friends,

Currently with SKW, hoping to get to JetBlue as soon as possible in 2025 (hopefully). Living in the Boston area. Honestly, I’ll take any information I can get. I’ll go back and read some previous threads to gain info as well.
Do y’all have a pairing packet (preferably a BOS one) that anyone would be willing to DM?

Cheers
JR

Likely not hiring in 2025. Maybe drain whats left of the pool, if any, by the end of the year. We use PBS, no bid packets. Go elsewhere, good luck.

You'd be joining a company that may be going BK in the next 4-5 years. If that doesn't happen you'd be joining a company with very little career progression for the next 10-15.

You'd be so foolish to come to JetBlue. It's a dead end.

As others have said, you’d be foolish to come here. You’ll be much happier at really any Legacy. JetBlue won’t offer you any kind of career progression or job security. If you would like a BOS base, go to AA!! Best of luck!!

I’ll be different and suggest it won’t hurt to come to JetBlue rather than staying at SkyWest. Are you commuting? Obviously this would eliminate a commute. You could decide to stay if our financials fully turn around. Or go somewhere else if you choose to. A lot of people are happy working here, and for anyone to predict the future is impossible. I just think there are a lot more positives than have been said here so far and very few negatives. It’s not like you’re signing a 10 year contract at JetBlue. If you’re here and then wish to leave, you should be able to. And if you can’t, then it would seem the legacies are no longer hiring and you’d be stuck at the bottom of their list just like you would here. Ask American pilots about their reserve rules compared to ours.

Like I said, there are many people who like working here, and many who haven’t left even with thinking the grass is always greener elsewhere.

JetBlue may hire in 2025 as was stated recently, to cope with having so many pilots in transition training. They need people to fly the line. Feel free to message if you want more details on my open experience here.

2025 is hopefully the year JetBlue turns it around. What really happens after this very moment is anyone’s guess, good or bad.

Living in base is great.

There is plenty of trip variety to choose from. Shorter duration trips tend to be more senior, especially weekday ones. Trips that are on, or traverse, a weekend are more junior. The longer the trip the more likely it is to touch the weekend.

Seniority progression dictates QOL and we will stagnate for 2025. When we hire again everyone will have a chance to improve their own lot.

For now we are in a holding pattern.

The most recent threads cover the current pilot group sentiment pretty well. That being said, pick anywhere else before coming here. We’re about to force junior FOs into SJU too apparently.

Default Think Again

As somebody who spent time at both SKW and B6 before moving on you will 100% not be happy at JetBlue. B6 treats new FO's worse than most regionals. The fact you will have 0 movement seniority wise should convince you to go elsewhere. Good luck.

What exactly do you mean by this? Elaborate please.
