Does anyone have displacement rights on this system bid?

It represents around 25% of our list in the next 7 years and on from there. A decent amount of movement if you have been here a while, not worth mentioning if you are junior.

Your numbers are a tad off.

2025 128
2026 44
2027 85
2028 109
2029 142
2030 129

ETA: Sorry, I see someone else already corrected you.

Plus, once attrition picks back up your relative seniority % won’t change.

Yes, but a world of good it will do with negative vacancies almost system wide.

So basically the guys that were previously awarded 220 CA have recall rights if they were downgraded on last bid? Is that base and seat specific ? A BOS 220 guy would be SOL while a jfk one would get his previous award ?

That my friend is a good question for a smarter person than I. I believe you are correct, the prior claim section in the contract just refers to whatever vacancy was originally awarded.

I will be 80 years old by the time I can hold captain here the way things are going so my care meter is very close to zero.

Pretty sure this is not true. That's why they made the effective date past any "rights" date.

Incorrect. Your prior claim right is based off your effective date I believe. So one year from your original effective date is when your rights expire. People with rights should be able to exercise them through, at the very least, this bid and any supplemental bid early next year. Possibly next annual as well, should there be any late fall effective dates.

Many of us with displacement rights have those rights until 1/1/2027. The question of course is, will they run a supplemental with an award date prior to that to get some of us back into the left seat? I don't have a crystal ball, but my magic 8 ball says "Outlook not so good".

Also it seems like there was confusion about displacement rights and vacancies in the comments above. If you were displaced you have first rights (aka prior claim) only back to the displaced position ahead of anyone who does not have prior claim status. So a displaced BOS 320CA has no rights to a JFK 320CA or BOS 220CA opening, however the displaced pilot would fill a BOS 320CA opening ahead of someone more senior than them who is not in prior claim status if a vacancy exists. Prior claims are also awarded in seniority order within their own prior claim group, meaning if there's 10 of us with prior claim spots and only 4 openings, they're awarded in seniority order from most senior displaced pilot to most junior.
