Not if they’re more senior but yeah besides the point. Basically until 2030 upgrade time will sit around 8-9 years. And that’s to go from okay trips as a senior FO to plug… I wish I had as much optimism as some of these guys do.

They’ve got a point. ALL 16 CA Vacancies will go to Displacement right downgrade CA’s. Meaning they’ll all be at the bottom… and most likely remain there. Once 2027 happens everyone coming in will most likely be senior to them bc no one will have prior claims and can bid vacancies.

Not to convince any junior people to stay (you shouldn't) but we DO have a decent retirement wave starting in the next couple of years if we don't use that opportunity to sell airplanes.

Old numbers I pulled of a quick search:

Year/number/cumulative

2025 71
2026 66
2027 111
2028 124
2029 150
2030 135
2031 151
2032 162

It represents around 25% of our list in the next 7 years and on from there. A decent amount of movement if you have been here a while, not worth mentioning if you are junior.

Not worth it if you’re commuting due to a displacement, want to upgrade, or remain at a financially uncertain airline. But yeah we’re retiring a few pilots to be right where we were before post covid hiring for all that growth that was planned. Yeah stay here.

It means if you are above 40% on the list you will be top 35% in the next 7 years, (if that math makes sense) guaranteed. That's not nothing, and it keeps going past that. You won't get that if you jump ship. All that assumes the company doesn't shrink however.

Nothing is guaranteed. And the only thing we are good at is shrinking.
