Well consider who is threatened by a Spirit and JetBlue merger. JetBlue would come out a much bigger and stronger competitor against airlines like United and Delta. Hence the lobbying to have the DOJ prevent the JetBlue acquisition of Spirit. A change of administration doesn't change the dynamic. I’ve talked to many NK pilots that are convinced that the Big 4 were paying people off to deny the merger.
