ALPA is on the property I fly 11 days a month. I have vacation over the summer. I allow my seniority work for me rather than bidding junior Captain seat. I have had several pay raises since I have been here. I sell back Vacation ALPA is on the property and doing a good job IMHO. It has gotten better many from my new hire class are Captains! We wait for our stellar CBA! It has gotten better many from my new hire class are Captains! |

I am not on reserve. Haven't been for a long time. ALPA is on the property Any thanks to your vote? Just curious. I fly 11 days a month. Congrats. And work at LSC/OSC how many? I have vacation over the summer. Congrats. You are one of the very few people at JetBlue that can due to the incredibly pi$$ poor industry lagging (contrarian?) vacation rules. I allow my seniority work for me rather than bidding junior Captain seat. I have had several pay raises since I have been here. And yet you still work for 35% less than your peers. Congrats. I sell back Vacation Your pals at LSC and OSC are very appreciative of your support. ALPA is on the property and doing a good job IMHO. Agreed. It has gotten better many from my new hire class are Captains! I.. I..., ugh. http://winefolly.com/wp-content/uplo...alm-picard.jpg We wait for our stellar CBA! ...and wait, and wait, and wait... |

Sigh. Not sure what you were trying to prove there, but it appears you did the opposite.

Assuming all SW pilots fly 4-5 leg days is equivalent to saying all Blue pilots fly nothing but red eyes. I like how juicers try to deal in absolutes only when it suits their plot.

We wait for our stellar CBA! Things are getting better because some of your class made captain? Delta has 9 month upgrades and one of the best contracts in the industry. Our upgrade is 5+ years now and going north rapidly! Better!!!?!?!? You've had several pay raises since you got here? EVERY. SINGLE. RAISE. has kept you below industry standard, NOT TO MENTION below industry retirement, rigs and work rules. And God forbid you get sick or have a sick kid, because you will lose a week of vacation or lose a week of vacation sell back if you do. Better! YOU fly 11 days a month, so it's clearly getting better for all of us! Wow. |

It's false equivalents like those that give cover to management for undercompensating us and treating us like children. So frustrating. But we all know management people post on these boards trying to subvert our unity.
The juicer crowd continues to post on various message board how great this place and culture is. In addition pilots who don't even fly the line(instructors, management pilots) telling the rest of us how great things are. Absolutely nauseating. Who the **** do you think you are? rant over. have a good weekend everyone. |

You're right, a 35% pay deficit totally makes up for not having to fly 4-5 legs a day and having more days off per month and more vacation time, and having 10 bases to choose from. What was I thinking.
If people don't like SWA, great. There are pros and cons for every shop. But don't let this 4-5 leg per day thing be the reason. The vast majority of trips have 2 -4 legs a day. A small percentage are single leg days, and a tiny fraction have >4 legs a day. It's a big company so if you want to fly 2 long legs a day, you can do that. Want to fly 5 short ones, you can do that too. Upgrade time is lengthy, but not terrible. Projected at around 11 years for a buddy who just got hired. All that said, unless you live in an SWA domicile, I'd stay put. That seniority number has value. You'll have a competitive CBA before long. Hopefully it'll be better than SWA so you can participate in pattern bargaining! Keep fighting the good fight! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

My guess is that you live in base and like me, have seen some good movement in seniority. That is not the reality for many here, and better options exist out there. Open your mind a bit HB-theres a big world out there. |
