Since all new hires seem to be getting NY, can some guys chime in if you use the bus or train to get to the airport from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn? I have a buddy I can crash with there, but if I can't make the callout, what's the point? Thanks.

Unless you are the top half in a class with E190s, you likely will get the Bus. The E190 has gone senior in the last few classes. It all depends on the class demographics. Several in the last few classes were already typed on the E175/190, so they bid it. |

That would happen a lot sooner on the 190 or in JFK I think. I would think that you'd have a descent shot at a BOS320 out of training. If not, you could likely bid over during the next system bid, and find yourself in Boston a few months later. 320 Reserve in Boston is 12 months at the minimum, and longer in most cases. Reserve periods are 3-6 day blocks, 10 hour RAPs, 2 hour callout, usually 18 days on a month. 10 hr Long Call is rare - it is subject to reserve availability, which has been especially low of late, and it only happens in the middle of the week when it does. Trips vary widely between 1 day turns and 2-5 day trips. Day turns bid senior but a few always end up in open time. Hope this helps Best of luck |
