Good advice and analysis. When the A220 fully/mostly replaces the E90 I don't see the plug remaining in the 70-80% range. I believe the A220 will go more senior. It's pay rate is much closer to A320 pay and there are other characteristics that make the plane more desirable than the E90.

So overall I say it goes more senior. With the loss of 75% of OE trips, may not see as many senior bypassers in the future. Also, the E90 is a dying fleet, so I believe even less dudes are interested into upgrading onto it right now, which makes it stay/go so junior.

Couple that with few retirements, as the seniority list gets larger and larger, but the aircraft delivery schedule remains a constant 13-15 hulls a year, the airlines actual hull growth rate as a PERCENTAGE mathematically results in a lower growth rate each year. In others words, as a percentage, JB is constantly slowing it's hull growth rate. That will also result in slower seniority progression with each passing year if the delivery schedule remains a fixed 13-15.

As long as they continue to run upgrades onto the E90 during the transition, you will see some token really low longevity upgrades. After the conversion to the A220 is complete I would expect most upgrades will be 7+ years.

My guess.

Is the 320 more then 7 years right now?

Sometimes definitely. Remember I said 7+ years after the A220 has mostly replaced the E90, which means another 5+ years from now and considering all the other factors I mentioned.

How long to hold a line JFK 320?

I really didn’t know. I know some 8 year guys who got it so I didn’t know how low it was going.

Any insight on how the hiring timeline is looking like right now. How long from in-person interview to Indoc to sims?

I'm sitting at 3 weeks now since my interview date and havent heard "TBNT" or that I'm moving to phase 2 yet. Fingers still crossed!! I know some guys that I interviewed with have moved on to phase 2.

On three weeks plus since my video interview and just crickets. Hopefully I didn't fall behind the desk. Anybody still in the same boat?

When did you interview? I was 3/27 and got the phase II a week later.

Time line seems to match up with mine as well, and I haven’t heard anything yet.

Video interview

3 long weeks after the video interview, this morning I received the TBNT email, I'm trying to think what could have gone wrong.
The letter tells me to reapply in 6 month, but the window is open now, should I reapply now? I don’t know if the pass/ fail evaluation of the video interview is based of fixed standards or it is somewhat subjective, so a different recruiter will give a pass to what other won’t.
