....Newbie here....

Is the JetBlue hiring window still open?? I just started a profile on their career section and does not show a first officer position.

It's been closed since March. Not sure when it will open again.

Exactly. QOL, movement off reserve quicker, more $, not averaging 3-4 legs a day, etc.

I don't want to turn this into a Bus vs 190 argument but people who choose base vs aircraft are being short-sighted in my opinion......but to each their own....

190 you get to go to bed by 10:00 pm most nights, that's important to many. Also, not really sure which will get off reserve quicker due to guys bidding off the E90 when they can hold a good Bus schedule. Pays the same for the 1st year. Pros and cons.

The amount of newhires going into the bus seems to far outnumber those transitioning from the 190. Dont have the actual data but Ive moved up 200+ spots on the JFK 320 and Ive only seen a handful bid in above me from the 190. 320 is a better bet for many reasons unless you live in Boston and reserve doesnt bother you.
Btw the JFK 190 is a slug-showing very little movement recently.

Very true. All of our good flying has been taken over by the BOS 190 guys and the trips have deteriorated greatly in the past few months.

So true. I just bid into JFK from BOS due to commutability, and wow. The trips are much worse for a commuter. Went from productive 3-4 day trips to garbage 1-2 day trips pinned together. I will echo what others have said, 3-4 legs a day for 4.5-5 hours of block is << 1-2 legs for 5-6 hours of block. Go to the bus, the red eyes are bad, but you will be whooped after a 12 hour day with half of that parked at the gate.

Just some perspective...have a 190 FO in the crashpad at JFK that's an April 14 hire, he's on reserve for June
