I must be a very lucky guy then, during my 100hr I was around 1 for 2 or 3 try. Of course you need to look for pairings that don't conflict with your max RAP or rest. And don't be picky. Beggars can't be choosers.

I hit 100 hrs the last day of May. I'm jfk320. I thought I'd get used over the summer. But June was 12:41 and July so far has been 1 3-day trip for 21hrs. Move-up line for August. For June and July I've had 24 hr notice (assigned pairing for next day) but also had 3 trips in June with sub-2hrs notice. I always tell them I'm going to need the 2 hours (driving from jersey), and they've always agreed and approved short term parking for me.

There is no way I'd go hang out at StarBucks, even if I lived 2 hours and 15 minutes away. Keep a bag packed, be clean shaven, and have a uniform ironed. When they call you have 15 minutes to call them back, then 2 hours from positive contact (when you call them back in 13 minutes after they called you).
You'll be fine, and like everyone said, you'll get a feel for weather you're going to get called or not.
Good luck!
Tom

I hear of guys doing this, but it would drive me insane sitting in a Starbucks for 10 hours.....

Agreed, 10 hours in a coffee shop would make me crazy. Maybe the 2 hour call out will change to 3 eventually in the contract - hopefully I will sit reserve for a year or less. Anyone want to take a wild guess as to how long a new hire will sit resv JFK?

How many UTOs in a month?

I tried to UTO 2 days in Aug and only one was approved? Had to PTO the other day I wanted off. Are we only allowed 1 UTO off a month as a resv?

That is correct Rocket. You can not go below 70 hours of credit. You can always move days around if the reserve levels allow it. Just make sure you have at least 3 days in a row or Flica will deny it.

That is a nice trick. Back in a regional, by the time I called back they already gave the pairing to somebody else. It would not work here, but at least you buy yourself another 15 minutes.

If you have 3 RSV days you could still UTO one and have 2 RSV days.
I just did it last month.

3hr call would be nice. You should hold a line in 6 months in JFK.

When is year 1 anniversary?

Is year one anniversary - one year from first day of training or one year after first day following IOE? (Is there a bonus after year one is complete?)This year one pay is gonna be rough with a kid in college, but have to say, everyone I've have worked with including those below the wing - have been awesome.
