There is a 180+ page PBS guide on helloJb under the PBS tab.
Read it, learn it, know it and you can grab schedules you should never be able to hold because guys senior to you didn't read it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I used the Pbs bidding program that you install on your PC. I had to go find an old Windows laptop that I hadn't used in years. |

This is not necessary. The system will read priority left to right on each line, so just make sure you list your preferred days off in priority order. I believe that there is a limit to the max number of bid line requests that the system allows, so if your bid is very complex, you will want to condense your days off requested to a single line.
You have to put each day off on a separate line. On a normal pairings bid it will do denial mode and disregard days off from right to left on your line |

Not true if I understood the manual correctly. A reserve bid does NOT go into denial mode if all your days off requests you made cannot be honored. So when it goes back to try to build a reserve line for you it disregards the whole line at once.

I just bumped into a guy on the hiring team and he said "only the candidates that show up at a conference such as Obap or wia will be considered this round" they supposedly want to meet people face to face first. Is that what you guys are hearing too?

I don't know if it is required. I do know this: they want people who want to be there. If you want to work for them then why wouldn't you go see them at every opportunity?
I head that! DC, here I come! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Happened to a number of poolies. Call the FAA - sometimes the request from Sterling isn't received so there you sit in limbo. It's a long process even when things go smoothly ...Call FAA asap
So at this point I have no idea what to do, except for call JB hr |

I'm in training with a great guy who does OBAP and interviews. I'll put it this way, he said "we open the window for WAI and OBAP right now, and that's it". Draw your own conclusions...

I looked through the pbs manual on Comply365. Don't know if it's the same one. Seemed pretty easy when you follow the steps that give you.
