It's totally random. Hard to tell. I'm at 4000, with 1000 in the 170/190, currently on the 777. JFK local, 2 jobs fairs, 2 internals. I wouldn't consider myself competitive yet. Haven't heard a peep. Yet I've heard of people with less hours than you getting the interview (maybe military, not sure) I would be very happy at JetBlue. Good luck though, lets us know if you hear anything!

We JUST reworked the order book. Like 2 weeks ago. They tuned and tweaked the orders, but didn't convert the 320s to 321s. Does that mean they won't, don't know. But they sure could have just done it, but did not.

Default Mil helo time

Does anyone have any insight into what kind of numbers make a former military helicopter pilot competitive? I'm a regional 121 FO now with roughly 1000 hours SIC, coupled with about 3000 mil RW hours/2000 PIC.

From what I got, the only reason we still have any on order and didn't cancel all together is because Embraer cut us a nice deal to not cancel all of them as the launch customer in order to save face in the industry.

I thought I rode on a 190 the other day that had the bigger Tv's... but that couldve been the fatigue of 4 legs in and out of EWR before my commute lol.
More E190s? How about JB order some cheap C-Series from up North like Delta? So much more capable than the 190/195... And, as far as I can tell, not a high volume of recent orders = lower prices per unit... Now would be a good time to do a deal.

I had half your mil helo time and a little over half your 121 time and got here. But as JetBlue says in job fairs, they hire people not logbooks. Go to VIB and apply/update early and often. And prove you want to be here and not a legacy.

^^this^^

I was hired with less than 3k. VIB is your opportunity to convince JB to interview you.

Will applying typically get you an invite to VIB? I submitted my app on Friday. Thank to all of you for the feedback.

Yes. Invites go out to all applicants that checked the "veteran" box.
