how long to get LGB? 15 years?

Prancinghorse 02-28-2014 03:27 PM

Interviewed on Tue. LGB CP said that 3 LGB FO slots went unfilled last bid. He was jokingly searching the room for west coast guys :)

It's for real, the last system bid had a handful of LGB slots that went unfilled. I'd say a year or less for a newhire to hold LGB with the way things have been going. Good news!

I take it those 8 320s went senior to the class?

Not always. If you value QOL over the size of your equipment, the E190 is the way to go. Reserve times are short, and movement quick up the list, in Boston especially.

I'll second what Southerner said. I went with the 190 but could have held the bus. I drive to work and have had every day off I have requested thus far, albeit I sit reserve but its still not bad. Been here six months and am hopeful I will have a line in April.

Cool, what are we talking is competitive for civilian only time? I have about 2600, so I'm a bit light, but I've got lots of tpic and time on my side. Just asking Qs :)

At the November Vets in Blue, the following was said to be competitive:

Fighter/Trainer (mil) - 2500
Heavy (mil) - 4000
Civilian only - 5000

That being said, I talked with military friends who have interviewed with JetBlue and they said there were a couple of civilian only types with significantly lower time than 5000. Keep in mind this is also second hand knowledge as I have not had a chance to interview with them.

What are trips like for E190 JFK? How about E190 BOS? You flying longer stage lengths or more concentrating on the NE?
