Kew gardens is close and you won't be dodging as many AK-7 pops as you do in Jamaica Queens. Good luck Hoss.

Didn't want to start a new thread so thought I'd bump this one....

New JFK F.O. looking for a crash pad in the usual places. Trying to stay in the $350-400 range if possible.

Any help, guidance, advice, direction, etc....greatly appreciated!!

Damn, did JB raise first year pay? You can get a decent place for under $300.

Seems all the decent <$300 places are spoken for, not advertised, or unavailable to people on reserve.

And no, JB did not raise first year pay.

Yup, finding a "good" crashpad in jFK can be though, that's why I tell new hires to start looking while in training if you don't want to get stuck in a dump.

Fortunately w/ JFK versus LGA you’ve got trains as an option, both subway and the LIRR. Look at places close to branches that service the Jamaica stop where you can catch the Airtrain.

I think I said this before somewhere...Stay away from Paul’s crashpad. Don’t pay more than 250$. Unless it comes with free beer

Avoid Rendon's crashpad to at Hillside/Lefferts. I personally didn't like it as I felt is was too crowded, locks on the thermostats, too little common space, etc...

Try and get on with another airline ASAP... I don’t think they are going to make it. Get a job at Compass...so you can back door your way into Delta before she squashes you
