JetBlue 5/24 Interview
#12
Congrats to all getting the call!
Does anybody know if the 8/3 class is already full? Interviewed 5/24, GIS completed on 6/29, no call nor email yet... Also I have an international phone number listed, I wonder if they will place that call to my number. I had to call them for the phone screening. I really don't want to call them to ask this... Hoping for a call soon, I guess no news is good news up until now...

I'm on mil leave so a bit out of the loop, but I'd just assume it's small class sizes that are the issue, not your hiring status. If we hire 89 more this year and run two classes per month until November, you're only looking at 7 or 8 classes at 12-15 per class. It will be a frustratingly slow progression compared to the 70 per month when many of us got hired (barring anything coming of all these rumors that will speed up the process).

Thanks! I actually don't mind waiting for a class, so it's not really the wait that's causing me anxiety. The toughest part for me is not knowing if the PHC has met to give me the final yay or nay decision yet. I know Phase Two is more than just a background check and isn't a gimme by any means.
Last year it was running four to five months from interview to class, I never got any "Phase II complete" or anything like that until I got a CJO with my class assignment.
I think most consider it extra time to save up some extra dosh to survive first year pay.

Honestly, I don't think your anxiety is warranted. I haven't heard of the phase II background check being an issue for anyone unless they failed to disclose something significant that turns up in the Phase II.

5/24 noon interviewee. Excited to say I got the call for a class date about a week ago, but couldn't post due to work. They originally offered 8/3 start, but told them I had to defer until Sept due to deployment. I believe they said there is a mid-late Aug class, and another 15 Sep.
I didn't receive any notice from GIS, but did call to confirm they completed their investigation on 6/30.
Hopefully the good news is rolling in for everyone! Good luck to all!
3,000 hrs (mostly mil)
1,500 TPIC
C-17 IP, C-130J FP, ERJ-170 FO
