I really don't see ALPA getting in. That's just my guess. Let the flames begin.

but I would at least expect them to try , specially if 320 fo pay, 190 cap and fo pay, 401k , LOL and medical cost are not improved after 2nd quarter profits are anounced.

I'm sure they will. I'm sure there will be a vote. I wouldn't be surprised if the group voted in favor or representation, but I don't see it being ALPA.

Any union is better than no union. Vote one in and you can ride my jumpseat.

Why not? Do you see JB emulating a SWAPA model? If so, didn't that recieve a fair amount of support by SWA itself? From what little I know about D & D, I doubt that a JB pilots will benefit from the same type of support. A stand alone union could take quite a long time to stand up whereas ALPA could be on property in a heartbeat.

Greedy, the D & D I refer to above are JB executives, not your favorite role playing game!

That's the deal, VX boy. Jumpseats are for Union members. Whether they're ALPA, APA, SWAPA, Teamsters or just in-house. Its a negotiated benefit that is not extended to non-union pilots.

Well give it sometime then...VA will be part of a union eventually just a matter of time.
