It was sarcasm.
From now on and for your benefit I will add the following code [sarcasm] insert [/sarcasm]. You were not debating. You were playing a game and trying to wind up a sucker punch with your passive aggressive questions. I wasn't playing. This is the debate: The foundation of a contract is Section 1. The framework is Section 2 though XX. Alaska CBA has a solid framework that would benefit Jetblue pilots. Got it! |

We are talking about guys that took concessions and furloughs, had to find other jobs. Oh, but now they just signed a big contract and invade everyone's forums to talk about how much more they know. You should go F off Bluedriver. Go work at United you would fit right in.
In addition, you suggested that our company has been so much stronger all these years, how is it that we still don't have industry competitive compensation? Surely we should already have been able to match poor old bankrupt United??? I mean why do we have to wait so long with our so-much-stronger JetBlue? |
Joe, the title of the thread is "JetBlue and United comparison"! Beyond that, I welcome TASTEFUL input from our peers about the process and regarding how truly far we are behind. It seems way too many here don't know just how far we have fallen behind and how badly JetBlue management is slow-rolling the process, which causes them to do really stupid things like help management recruit and retain pilots on internet message boards.
As has been said before, negotiating a contract does not have to take this long. ALPA has submitted full language sections for a complete contract. However long it takes from here is exactly how long our executives want it to take. Tasteful United contributions welcome. |

Actually United's contract has been much better than ours for about 3-4 years. Ever since their joint CBA with Continental. This is a contract extension with further improvements and a DL pay raise true-up.

With the lowest pay and benefits and lack of contract Jetbkue is pathetic at best. Culture doesn't pay bills and there is no logical rationale for signing a market rate contract in the next 3 years. Robin Hayes himself informed investors that wouldn't happen in 2017. Why on earth would jetblue pay now something they put of for 3-5 years? Because of "culture"? The reason we are in this position is because of the idiots who believed that in the first place. There is no other way to put it. 1193 pilot believed a management team who spent millions to lie and trick them. Those faces appear in the dictionary right next to the word idiot. |

. So what did you hear relating to 2017? |

You won't have much luck "discussing" jetblue with the juicer crowd. In their minds jetblue is untouchable and the thought of critiquing the airline is a personal insult. That crowd will defend this place to end. It's comical and sad considering how far behind we are. God forbid we become like United. We'd lose our "culture". Pathetic.
