I saw that as well. They are upgrading the 1980's visuals.

The fog looked too pixelated? Gotta get brand new 4k grey!

Visuals that sync with the motion at a higher FPS will prevent the motion sickness most feel while taxiing. This is why high end VR headsets have a requirement for 90 fps. Do not know if this is the reason for the upgrade, but the fact they care about having updated sims is a sign of a company that gives a damn.

This can’t be the measuring stick for giving a damn. ABX upgraded their visuals over a year ago.

You are absolutely correct

the visuals in our 400 sim were/are top notch
the second sim just installed from delta was uncertifiable in its present condition- at least that's what I understand

the company upgrading the visuals on that sim made k4 an offer they couldn't refuse to do both at the same time

not big deal but in the end we will have 2 really good sims

Have a buddy interviewing at K4 on 09/5. I believe it’s for the 767. Has there been any improvements at all to the quality of life over there? I’m aware that the schedule is extremely exhausting, but as more people are trained are things getting easier? I told him to definitely come over for the 74 but can’t really recommend the 76 unless things are changing.

Other than a few new routes and some new planes I wouldn’t expect a huge change.

There’s still no ETOPs cert, so it’s still domestic night flying. There are some interesting rumors about Europe in the future, but I’ll beleive it when I see it.

Hahahaha! Look at the lines for September and then you’ll see how much fun the 767 is.
