I think that we are all wondering when there will be an update.

why not.. how long does it take to put the TA into contractual language. It’s not like it’s the first TA ALPA has ever had. Pretty sure they have a good idea on how long it will take .. just a matter of telling us.

There wasn’t a TA just an AIP. The terms were agreed to but the contract language needs to be written and agreed to.

Two things. Not even close to a TA. Second, the language isn't even done. Just think it as a premature announcement.

I don’t think your issue is the Teamsters fault. In the past it was because of the competing locals. Now, you are on your own. The problem is squarely in the court of your Union management. Unfortunately, if you do not have the ability to buy the influence needed to politically manipulate the future arbitration in your favor, I do not think you will do well.

Your local management has chosen to go the UPS route instead of the old Southwest route. Both methods were effective in their application at the time. Did you pick the one that will work for you? Only time will tell. Meanwhile time is running out for a lot of the pilots who chose to make AAWW home a long time ago.

It is not difficult, it just is not the way contracts in the airline world are done. The union and the company have an Agreement in Principle. The Union announced to the membership that fact and told us more would be forthcoming when the language is confirmed and a Tentative Agreement made. It's pretty hard to get lawyers to meet over Holiday's and the company and pilots are just rolling out of a very busy peak season. Then and only then will the rank and file receive the completed contract. There will then be virtual road shows where questions may be asked and discussion amongst the membership held. At the completion of that period there will be a vote and we will either have a new contract or the parties will have to return to the table.

Our contract only became amendable in the last two weeks. We will have a document to look at soon and I'm sure that the details will be quickly available on line allowing pilots at other airlines to tell us how we should or should not vote. (insert eye roll here). There is a process. We are following it. Relax, we will have something to look at soon. What good does partial information now do for us? Answer, nothing.
