The company shows us on a regular basis what they think of us. Word on the street, they are bringing in a pilot for a hearing because he called them out for a duty assignment he was given at the last minute. Evidently even though he said the schedule was unsafe, they didn’t care. This company shows us every day what they think of us, very disturbing.

Atlas has been losing more and more pilots each month. Their stock is climbing and they keep running, despite the loving relationship between pilots and management.
ATI seems to be have the same issues these days.
ABX has a 6 year upgrade, new planes, pilots leaving daily and no home basing.
Amerijet, ATI, ABX have classes with new hires this month.

What’s the point?
No matter how many leave, there is always someone who wants in. Until there isn’t… then they just downside by getting rid of the least profitable aircrafts.

Basically, slow bleed, like Atlas can last a lifetime.

The point is back in 2017 Kalitta made a hard about face and made great steps toward becoming a destination airline. Everything was sunshine and rainbows and we were going the correct direction. In the last year we’ve made another hard about face and we are quickly becoming the Kalitta of 2016 all over again. A lot of the people here were not around to experience anything other than the rosy times, so they are getting kicked in the teeth for the first time and are complaining.

It leaves 3 options as a pilot: 1) Vote with your feet and leave. 2) Try to make things better via either the union or joining the management team. 3) Dig your head in the sand and hope for the best. Right now we have a lot of option 3 individuals, and nothing will change as long as they are the majority.

Under the current vector, the company is a miserable place to be and getting worse. Whether it survives or not may be irrelevant if you can’t stomach the next rotation let alone the next 5, 10, 20 years.

Do you see it turning around, or continuing to get worse?

That’s the million dollar question.

IMO. No. Small simple changes and a quick MOU would fix many major issues in a few days. They haven’t done anything to show interest in making things better.

Not what I’ve heard. Why are you parking the 76? I voted with my feet after my No vote lost by 17 people for this 1% increase in 401k. No leverage? I enjoyed my time at K4, miss it at times, but don’t regret leaving. I hope leaving helps give the leverage needed for the improvements you deserve.

Sarcasm, Bud. The company had the opportunity to offer a fair contract a year ago. The pilot group had their chance to punt it in favor of negotiating in a better environment later. Neither party was apparently interested.

The company unilaterally implemented first year pay from day one at the beginning of this year. It is currently the subject of a grievance with the union.
