Captain Wells,

I met you in FLL when you came outside to update those of us participating in informational picketing of the status of the negotiations. My impression was that your only agenda was to prevent the negotiation committee and company from reaching an agreement and to force a strike.

I pay dues to have 1224 represent me. The events that have transpired at FLL and since then lead me to believe that this is no longer the case.

I demand that you cease and desist your interference in Kalitta’s negotiations.

Sincerely,

Alan Kronisch

Did you actually send this letter to Wells and the 1224?

Or is this just posturing here on the forum?

Please Let us know if and when they ever respond back.

Doubtful, but we will see if he at least has the decency.

I could not find it either. Anybody know if there is a recorded version available somewhere?

It was ugly, and an abominable display of our representative in action. Shameful.

Sorry to go off topic here, but anyone have any insight as to if they are going to start calling and giving interview dates? I know that they havent called anyone in the last two weeks since the last round of interviews. Dont know why the slow down. Read in a past thread they were shying away from turbo guys. I have close to 1,000 jet time along with 2200 turbo. Internatioanl flight experience and not Mexico. Was based out of Latin America for almost 5 years. I hope that this would be sufficient. Any advice or insight is extremly appreciated

And to tie this back to the negotiations, does anyone know or can speculate on how initial and IOE pay might be affected? I remember someone stating a while back that Kalitta was not following the current contract with that respect.

Interviews were going on during multiple days last week. We have classes scheduled through the end of the year already. Will need to put students in those seats so I suspect there is calling going on now.

Intell33, there was a short time when the company started paying newhires first year pay. That was short lived. We are back to what you see on APC pay scales. 600.00 a week until you pass your line check. Hotel from day one. I don't know when perdiem kicks in. Perdiem is a little over 40.00/day tax free

$600 a week till you pass your line check. Which, some guys got hosed by SR and it took much much longer then it should've. In essence folks worked for free, nearly. So the question still stands, why come here? Clearly 1224 with DW at the helm, who has a clear disregard for K4 pilots and what they want. Or is it a disdain? He isn't looking out for our needs IMO.

I posted a few months ago that Sept is a key month and we are meer weeks away. And, if we do not have a new contract it won't be till next year that mgmt and the union meet again. DW is hell bent on a strike at K4, if only to show his Atlas pilots he could force a strike at a fellow 1224 shop. I, along with my Kalitta teammates, watched in horror the freak show put forth by DW and I'm utterly disgusted.

Do I trust mgmt? No.

Do I trust 1224? No.

Do I trust SN? Yes. But he has been censored. As have the other members of the K4 NC.

DW made it very clear that 8/22 is the big day. Let's find out and see what K4 mgmt says in response to the proffer..... If only to validate his claims. But mark my words, DW is going to make it very very hard for each kalitta pilot to support the atlas pilots and their cause and when it's their time and they need every 1224 pilot to support them. Atlas pilots have been mum on these boards. Not a peep. Go. And see for yourself on the other thread in the one labeled hiring, "Atlas watchama call it" been quite for awhile.

He is going to have a difficult reelection. Because he is ****ing off these 300 pilots.
