IF the OST situation works out for the "North Atlantic Freight" contract.. AMS may become a very seldom overnight.

Yes.. I would think 100K is fairly easy.

Default Kallitta Benefits

Can anyone fill me on Kallitta Airs benefits? I am debating between Atlas and Kallitta and non-rev benefits and health insurance are a big deal to me.

Does anyone know what airlines Kallitta has agreements with? Do they cover domestic partners?

Does anyone know if Kallitta's health insurance is competitive with the others in the industry? Do they cover domestic partners (opposite-sex) or only wives.

Thanks in advance for any information. I have found this info is hard to get even from the HR folks during an interview.

For non-rev benefits you are better off at Atlas. I believe they have ZED benefits with few carriers like Etihad, AA, Lufthansa etc. No benefits at K4. Not sure about Health Insurance. I am guessing health insurance would be similar.

But I would suggest not to base your decision based on non-rev benefits, health insurance different case.

There are no travel benefits....most don't see it as an issue... you will make more at (for now) at K4 and can buy tickets if you need to.

Our Health insurance is top notch is a "Cadillac plan" from BCBS currently it$150 a pay check for a family and I think $75 per paycheck if you are single... probably the cheapest in the industry for this quality of insurance.

Thank you for the info that helps a lot. Any idea if the "Cadillac plan" is offered to opposite sex domestic partners?

That’s a question you’ll probably have to ask HR. If you’ve lived with them a while look into common law marriage rules in your state.

Default Green card vs US passport

I will be moving to the US this summer and I’m looking at all possible job opportunities. I saw that Kalitta lists an US passport as a requirement. Since I haven’t seen that with any other company I wonder if you can get employed with a green card only? Thanks for any responses!

They do Department Of Defense contract work which requires you to be a citizen. I was a legal resident alien when I interviewed at Kalitta Charters about 4 years ago and they had to deny me when I pulled out my card. Now I’m a citizen and on with the big brother company... funny how things work out.
