I hate this argument...how else do you compare contracts other than looking at what's on paper today? So when you get a new contract that hopefully beats ours do we get to use the same argument?

I was very vocal about staying with Teamsters, but I definitely understand the "other side" that wanted to leave when people from other 1224 airlines want to trash and pick apart pieces of our contract to make yourself feel better working at crappy wages.

Yes our retirement needs a lot of work...Yes I'd like to see shorter duty days...Yes I'd like to see better contract language throughout...etc...

However it's about diminishing returns. The pilot group signed an industry leading ACMI contract in a lot of areas. You're not going to get everything in one contract and the pilot group could still be sitting here today on the old contract trying to demand a little more. Instead we're 1.5 years into this contract and will begin negotiating our next contract in a couple years.

For 15yrs I flew a DC9 to my home city everyday and slept at home in my own bed instead of using the hotel..and got per diem. I was home in my house 30 days a month! Nobody cares what you used to do.I know a new hire in 2016/17 when we were 100 crewmembers short and added 10 aircraft for Amazon that never worked a single day of OT on probation! I say again ...our system is different than everybody else's. After 6 days JRM for the yr...you get the premium pay and the day back. You can work 5, 10, 15 days a month at premium pay and still have the same number of days off. This was negotiated in our last contract not as a way to increase our pay but as a penalty to the company if they do not staff the airline correctly. Which they still have no idea of how to do.
Big deal... right back at you. A lot of people are happy with K4 right now. The pay and flying opportunities are pretty awesome. Sure, there are some things that need work but for the most part it is and it has always been a great place to work. If your ACMI sucks so badly why don’t you just leave? I don’t see the point of coming on here and trashing K4 or its contract.

What ever happened to the concept of “I like flying airplanes?” Why are some people so happy ripping off the company and not going to work? I have a great life at home but I also have a great career. One enhances the other. You seem quite unhappy and sad. Perhaps if you had more purpose to your life?

I fly my own airplane for fun.....I work to make as much as I can each day then go home to a great family and enjoy my life. But management loves to hear they have employee's that are working for the fun of flying and do not care if they are paid well.

Complaining and putting other pilot groups down on here does absoltely nothing other than cause animosity between everyone else and you. Not ABX. Not 1224. You.
Just not sugar coating it...crap pay is crap pay. If ABX ends up there I will say it's crap pay too!
What's the point of putting lipstick on a pig? Is that not the point of a forum? Or should I only say what you want to hear? It's a great contract you guys rocked it!. Reality is you settled because the previous contract was so bad this looked hugh...could nd should have been a lot better. Now the real whipsawing will really be able to start. We are seeing it now.

Does anyone know if you drive a rental car to reposition if its paid at 100% I was told recently by a captain that it was but haven't been able to find proof anywhere. All the contract talks about is limo service etc.

Well to get this thread back on track I was just offered an interview on July 31st and I for one am very excited to have the chance to join the K4 family. Anyone who has recently interviewed and been offered a class date, how far out are they putting people into classes?

Also if anyone else has or gets an interview for July 31st and wants to touch base before the interview feel free to PM me. Looking forward to this opportunity.
