Man, that really is painful. After all that work to get here... leave it to Pete and Connie... no one deserves the $$$ more than Kalitta guys.

K4 guys, so very sorry to hear this. Underhanded doesn't begin to define it. As a Professional, please do not attempt to operate an aircraft if you are not mentally fit to do so. I cannot see how someone could absorb this information, suffer this let down, and be mentally fit for duty.

I am sure NW had something to do with it as well. He has Connie's ear more than anyone and probably went ballistic about the cost of business class and the raises.

This is low even by Connie's standards. Seems like it should be easy to get released for self-help now. Good luck to you guys!

I'm sure that's not going well for Scheduling today!

I want to be sure I understand what just happened. We were willing to accept a substandard contract because we were tired of the delay. It is my understanding the current offer did not include a Trip Rig and or a Duty Rig, which is something the pilot group said was extremely important. In addition we were going to allow the company to give us three unpaid 1/7’s. If this were not enough of a slap in the face, we were also going to settle for a signing bonus of 70 dollars a month for the time an individual was on the property. The reason we were going to send this abomination to the pilot group was because the senior guys wanted a pay raise before they retire, and the junior guys don’t care about a good contract because they are all going to leave a soon as possible.

Kalitta will never be a UPS, FedEx, or for that matter Atlas, but we do have a good product and we work for a company that makes an obscene amount of money. That last offer was a slap in the face and after this latest deception, I will no longer be willing to vote in favor of this contract. Kalitta will step up to the plate and gives us an “industry standard contract” or we walk

"Industry standard contract, or we walk" I didn't know it was that easy to "walk", let's do it! All this wasted time, and all we had to do was release ourselves.

First off, you guys deserve so much better...It's a complete and damn shame it's come to this.

Second, serious question here. I'm in the pool looking at a projected Dec or Jan class date though I haven't been told either way. If you guys strike when I'm in training how does that work?

Let me start with I can't stand scabs and would never want to do anything that negatively effects your guys progression. However, if I'm in training and a strike occurs do I walk off of training? Would I then get fired? Would I then hopefully get my job back after all the dust settles? I've heard of guys holding the line on probation and getting canned and then getting their jobs back after the dust settles, is the same true when in training?
