I stash my 9'5 Stewart in the cottages I have been staying at in Kuta, Bali for the past 18 years. many dings with repairs, but still rideable.

While I was an FA for Continental Air Mike, I kept a board in the hotel in Honolulu, one with my Japanese surfing buddies in NRT and this one in Bali, worked well, never traveled with one except for SYD layovers, took it to the Hotel, Sheraton Wentworth and walked down to the Circular Key and took the ferry to Manly and paddled out there. good memories.

Tamarindo on the Pacific side of Costa Rica is great. You can fly into LIR from IAH, EWR, ATL, MIA, DFW, and CLT I think and it is about an hour drive south of there. Lots of good resturants and nightlife.

Tamarindo is the most Americanized piece of crap ruined surf destination. Crowded lineups, trustifarians everywhere, crime, and ****ed off locals. Head north to Nicaragua for a better experience.

Hawaii has best waves in the world. Unfortunetly, it's not cheap unless you're staying with a friend or at government rate.
