Boeing's newest plant in South Carolina will remain nonunion after workers there overwhelmingly rejected an effort by the Machinist union to organize the plant.

According to a company statement, more than 2,000 of the nearly 3,000 Boeing workers at the plant eligible to vote in the closely watched election voted against the union, and only a bit more than 700 members voted yes.

Airbus and C series, here we come.
I'm starting to subscribe to that theory. Boeing's ego has gotten too way too big.

I wonder how many jobs at SEA were lost as a result of moving the assemble plant to South Carolina -

Trumps labor security is likely working on a nationwide "right to work" bill. Trump has said he will sign a nationwide "right to work law". Another attack on unions.

Is United still the only U.S. to order the 787? I know they were JS baby to achieve a 2 aircraft airline with the 737 and 787 but haven't we started trading the 787 slots for 777 slots?

What do you think is Boeing's biggest profit maker is? Hint - not commercial airliners.
There is a reason that this relationship went from nasty twitter to bff 4 life in the span of a few weeks. Boeing will take a loss on two copies of AF1 in order to seal the deal on multi billions of dollars worth of weapons exports which the Donald does have a direct effect on.
Plus all of the sudden Trump is talking about buying some new Hornets to close the fighter gap, an idea which was already shot down when proposed before. Interesting.

I'm surprised that more wasn't said about this. One day after IAM lost the vote in a right to work state, there was Trump extolling the virtues of "American labor". A blip in the economy and these guys will shown the door, out of seniority order of course and without benefits. I'm afraid they'll find out the hard way what "right to work" really means.

More corporate welfare turds polished with the sheen of temporary manufacturing jobs (that are aggressively being replaced by automation).

But all one needs to do to see what he thinks about pilots is to watch his Mighty Planes episode featuring his Trump 757. His pilot, big kiss A$$ and probably overworked and under slept, is shown slaving away for "Mr. Trump". Not sure why anyone would want that job.

Check the pilot's name from the SCAB list.
